Trophy Canadian Outfitters, located 2 hours west of Edmonton, Alberta (Unit 346) specializes in Trophy Whitetail hunting. Alberta consistently produces some of the biggest Whitetail Deer shot in North America each year. In 2008, the largest deer taken by one of our hunters scored over 160 B&C, but this region has produced deer in excess of 200 B&C. Our 800 square mile area (about 500,000 acres) is composed of approximately 60% Crown (public) and 40% Private land. We utilize a variety of hunting methods, depending a hunter’s preference, weather, terrain and rut activity: Hunters can walk – either still hunting and/or stopping to call/rattle, sit in a tree stand (ladders or climbers) or a ground blind. Sometimes road hunting and organized drives (pushing the bush on foot) can be effective.

Alberta does not allow baiting and there are no high fences. With an allocation of 18 Whitetail and 6 Mule Deer Tags each year, we are not a big operation, allowing us to be a more personalized operation, so that each client gets a more personalized hunting experience. In 2009, we have leased 2 Moose license allocations for hunters wanting to hunt moose also. The Mule Deer are found in a few key areas and can be hunted on a trophy fee basis. |
